Get a hand brush and clean it in or under water

This is what I do and it stays clean constantly never had to buy a new one for 6 years. Now depending on the size of said roller I get a big painters roller kettle fill it with water and dunk mine in after each use which cleans it then let it drain on an empty bag of screed to remove the excess water while you do your next pour. Now if you can't find a big enough kettle or you have a roller thats 900mm wide like one of mine for this one I use the plastic planter trough from the garden centre fits perfectly just remember to plug up the drainage holes just wack a bit of vinyl in the bottom on some mastic and seal it around the edges and you're away.

Daz for the primmer rollers I keep these in a tub with water in it and a lid on it helps to stop them from drying out so next time you need it its still nice and moist.
