I am using Jumpax more and more now, never have a problem with it, perfect sub floor and no messy latex. I have always put it over screed but today I quoted to go over chipboard with it. Only problem is its gonna be more expensive than plying but I think its worth it. Any 1 else use it or had any problems? Only thing that does annoy me is it alway gives me a electric shock when you pull apart the top boards. maybe its because I split them with an eye witness/tucking knife??
No more take up of thermo plastic asbestos tiles or other dodgy subfloors, no more problems with damp, and a perfect finish. I can get a good finish with 300 and a spike roller but every now and then with latex I find a little trowel mark sometimes appears :x I dont know if Jumpax would be suitable for commercial jobs tho??
Yeah good stuff that used it a bit on a few jobs that needed a quick turn around worked a treat and no problems to report except the shock from unpacking the packing plastic seems to be electro statickly charged so watch ya self.
They do make a product that can be used with electric ufh, I think its called heatpak? the guy fitted all the heat matting himself and I put the jumpax/heatpak over the top with Amtico on top. Best thing is to ask the manufacturer I spose. Im not sure who supplies it but you will find it online, Jumpax have loads of different types but cfs only supply the main one
Just down the road, yeah cfs are a good bunch, have to book an hour out if you go into the trade counter sometimes tho, no offence Colin
Hi Alan, It doesnt seem to be listed in thier new price list but I get Jumpax from cfs and it comes in packs of 2.88 m2 I think. That pack obviously contains the top and bottom layer. Not sure who else stocks it but SFS in Ashford can get it in.
He does like a chin wag, good guy though. Have you tried the Forbo version? http://www.forbo-flooring.co.uk/Busines ... r-systems/
I will have to find a price for the Forbo, It looks like its a slightly thinner product. Have you used it?
