110 v Hitachi sds hammer drill £60 mixes latex drills door bars nosings the lot it works well as a " multi " drill it mixed 80 bags of k15 couple weeks ago and stood up to the job still working well, ive had it 8 months now and it's took a hammering but still going even if it only lasts a year it has only cost me £1 ish a week
80 bags is a lot of screed. I was using my Bosch drill (about 700 watts) but it gave off that electrical burning smell and the clutch screamed a bit after mixing about 5 bags or so. I switched to a Machinemart mixer about 15 months ago and it mixes much more quickly and thoroughly. The Bosch is still alive and well too.
collomix. Must be 10+ years old easy. Was mixing 200 sq'm a day of screed for 2 years constant on a big job i was on. Also it will mix 3 bags + water straight off. Im talking tip every thing in one go and then start mixing.
Only problem with mine is you have to use the chuck to grab the mixing whisk and can get a bit wobbly resulting in a few splashes from the wobble which gets very messy after a few mixes so i find it best to let someone else mix while I trowel it out
I use the Makita mixer, it was about £200 5-6 years ago. It's really a Refina made in Germany and badged up by Makita. I rate it and it has loadsa torque! It's all about the torque and the paddle my flooring brothers..
I got the Berg 110v from Havwoods its awsome twin motor two gears forward and reverse along with a built in speed control so I can start off slowly and increase the speed in small increments as I add the powder to the liquid or water so it don't all splater out onto the walls and everywhere. Cost £230.
i got a draper expert 1400w,love it , its really powerfull, 2 bags of latex no probs, havnt got a flexi tub big enough to try 3 bags, just to noisey, its like standing next to an aircraft

It cost just under £200, was gettin one online but need it tomorrow so had to drive round to get one.
Lol I know, had a few good jobs this year so set aside a bit for new tools mate. Been years since a brought any tools so spoiling myself. I deserve it
If you get the chance get a bird cage whisk. It's a lot better for getting the material that sticks to the side of your mixing bucket.
Will do sandy, will pick one up next week. I got a small whisk for the dpm but it wont fit in the drill  It needs to have a thread end. will use my cordless for mixing that now.
