Ive had a go with the tungston blade and the blade with the gold edge on a spacia job today. I personelly think the tungston blade was pretty good it lasted longer than the other. Had a go cutting down a woven backed carpet with the german blades and they are good, bit smaller than the blades im use to but v good. fitting some felt back tomorrow so I will have another go with the german blade on that. I like the Tungston blade because its real heavy duty, I didnt even try the German blade on the spacia, didnt think it looked up to it?

German blade was good on the felt back today, cut half a roll up with it and fitted 2 rooms before I changed it. To be fair the super hooks were good on the felt back today, maybe they just didnt like the ege carpet I was fitting with them last week :?

I personelly think the smaller blade was the best for carpet(I think its German?) I cut in two joins with it today so its still going. Its thinner than im use to so not sure I would use it for lvt or say tucking into door plates.

The Tungston blade was very heavy duty and cut through spacia very well, I like this blade as I would use it for all types of flooring. Am I right in thinking this is the one with the edge thats a different angle or is that just my one? :?

The blade with the coloured edge cut through the spacia better than a normal straight blade but seemed to blunt quickly, a concave is still better, spacia is quite tough tho, maybe its something the PRC put in it? Sorry I didnt use this on any carpet I blunted both sides so quickly on the spacia, it could be really good. I stopped buying expensive straight blades as I find they take a battering on the prep(or is that just me)

I didnt find anything special about the sheffield made blade, cut in some carpet with it, just seemed like a normal stanley blade

I think the small blade with holes is the best , but i didn,t get on with it in my dolphin 2000, it was fine in the standard dolphin. My preference in numerical order is 1 SMALL BLADE WITH HOLES, 2 BLADE WITH GOLD EDGE(ALTHOUGH NOT A LOT BETWEEN THE FIRST TWO), 3 TUNGSTEN, 4 SHEFFIELD BLADE. I hope thats helpful to you Rugrat , and thanks for letting me try them.
