Do you use Marine or WBP exterior ply?

I use WBP 6mm or 9mm but its getting worst, well the 6mm is. Not sure if its my supplier but heard off I few people that its getting worst.

Thinkin of using Marine now if I can get it at a good price.

wbp 6mm, 9mm, 12mm for me. I got some 9mm from b&q last week, looked like a quaver when I lay it on the floor

I dont think anyone stocks Marine ply in 6mm.

O and yes, you are correct. Plywood is getting worse and worse. Sadley we can only blame ourselves tho as we want 'cheap' cheap' cheap'

    More importantly than that Matt

Whats the difference between far eastern ply and birch ply. I guess birch is better as its slightly more expensive?

How can you tell the differance?
Been trying to get ply with the white sticker on and cant find it.
The only ply I can get is the pink one

Yes, over the last few years the plywood has been coming from China.

You will notice on most the plywood now they are missing the stamp that tells you what grade it is. Basically because it doesnt meet the standards it should for WBP flooring grade.

Some ply does have the grading marks on it but they have been made up !

If you post up pics for me i can translate the standards printed on it.

As we both go to PR Flooring then go to Shawfield Timber who can get it or Timber and Ply in Paisley as that is where I get mine and it is Far East layered and good stuff with the white label as they both get from Caledonian Timber

Yeah most ply these days looks like its only good for wrapping the fuselage of a 747 or the wings.

And why not Sandy its enviromentally friendly and only uses rubber bands to power the props, although I had to destroy a forest just for the ply
