It's a con mate, no wonder people go out of business. I had same problem few months back and posted about it. Cost me loads more. Does it cost more with sign writing on van?
As getting mine done soon, will I have to tell them.

Yes it does the reason it reduces the re-sale value of the accident repair for them if they write off your van.

I know how they got that figure here goes.
Cost of fuel £1.39 x 12 = £16.68 x 100 = £1668.00 and if you pay mounthly / 12 = £139, I'm beginign to wonder at some point it will be cheaper to hire a van all year round.

Have you tried a price comparison site? It shouldn't have gone up nearly as much as that.

Had the same problem, my insurance doubled when it ran into the next year so I rang them to ask what all the extra charges were. without question they knocked off nearly £300. Then they asked me to send them proof of no claims? I thought Ive had enough so I cancelled it thats when they said I wasnt intitled to the discount previously agreed and I would be charged £250.00 for the cancellation as it was a monthly payment. If I ever treated customers like that I would have no work so how do they get away with it. I will have to check some of these companies you guys are insured with mine was over £800.00 this year
