    Which do you prefer?
I have a trowel but was thinking of buying a spreader if it's easier in small areas

Spreader for small areas and trowel for big areas and Itools stand up trowel for even bigger areas. Plus the spreader works on dairylea cheese spread.

I've used an 11" spreader for years now. Once you get used to it (and your hand builds up the muscles in the right places) it's good to work with and it's as fast as a standard trowel. The main advantages are you can get into tighter areas and the refill blades are quite cheap and you change them before they wear too much.
