News Of The World on the ropes and going down, I don't know about anyone else but it disgusts me what they've been doing, and more to the point how on earth do you even begin to hack into mobile phones, and I seriously think someone needs to start questioning the mobile phone providers security measures that are supposed to protect their customers from these invasions of our privacy. And the only people allowed to have access are and should be MI5 MI6 and the police and thats it no exceptions.

I totally agree Jay, scum paper. Stopped buying that years ago after what the sun printed about the Liverpool fans robbing off the dead. Disgraceful paper.

I reckon there's a bit of internal negotiating going on regarding who's going to take the blame and what payoff will be accepted for doing it. I mean think how much News International will pay to make this go away. On the other hand it might not make much difference to them long term. People will still buy their papers.

Yeah big pay out and it'll go away, I for one think the mobile phone companies need to be dragged into this, what are they doing to protect us from these intrusions of our privacy. I know by law they have to keep all text messages on their servers for 3 years for police records should they be needed as well as voice mail, but what are they doing to protect us nothing. And how much do they make to much so is it to much to ask or enforce the mobile phone companies to tighten security.

Yeah all they'll do is wait for the dust to settle then re-invent the paper under a new name.

Am I the only one who thinks the closing of the notw is a shame?
It's nearly 170 years old, and was very highly regarded until Murdoch bought it in 1968 and started it's gradual decline.
After all, if a fitter got caught rifling through a customers Knicker drawer, you wouldn't expect the shop he works for to be closed.

.....And I'm sure I'm not alone in my appreciation of the sight of a nice pair of t1ts on a sunday morning......
