What's best way to fill deep holes? Got a job with a wall coming out so there will be some deep areas to fill. Then repair the floor with Karndean. The area is .30 x 3m and 1m2 but not sure how deep till Walls are out, could be a inch to about 6" The customer is filling them while on holiday. He was going to use sand & cement with a sheet dpm. I said it won't dry in time to lay the Karndean. So I'm going to get him some screed this week. Need it to be dry quick as possible.
A latex with chipping in if it's a large hole or rapid 45 which will go off in around 45 min give or take a bit
It would take loads of bags of rapid mate, was thinking of the chipping idea though. Seen on the ardex site they have some that building up to 50mm, but don't know if there any good
I've only ever used ardex yellow bag with chipping for bulk filling drys quite quick but not ment to go over 30mm with chip K15. Upto 50mm with chip But water mix so will need prime and never used it with chips so can't say if it will be any good or ardex rs drys quick but can only go to about 15 mm max so would need couple of coats but there's loads out there but the company was trained on only ever used ardex so I don't really have much knowledge of other manufacture
Watco do some pretty good epoxy mix concrete fillers although they are expensive but very good if you're in hurry and time is against you.
Ardex A45 with chips .....and peas (I put that in before Ted spotted it ) http://www.ardex.co.uk/pdfs/ARDEX A45.pdf
