14.7m long..cheap cheap viynl was bit o a job to get the lines straight, but good old fashioned piece o string an left it over night to flatten out just in case.
I,ve never used one Steve, are they good. I used to use a lino knife, sharpened with emery cloth. Now i use hook and straight blades. I use a cutter for carpet though, strange i don,t for vinyl.
Allan, do you realise how happy youve made me by not posting a pun! lol   to the question tho, i always free hand everything. Tried the trimmers, just couldnt get on with it, maybe im too old to learn a dif way lol
yeah the cutter is superb.. cant fault it at all. cuts it beveled to allow for expansion av never had one problem with any jobs av done loose laid with the cutter.. i know some other fitters here are always back at jobs havin to trim bits.. either my customers dont complain or it simply does what it should lol
I , as i say, use a hookie for trimming, and a straight for easing, i dont get called back for trimming either.
yeah ure prob rite enough.. i ve used it that long now i couldna use any other method..(its a hooked blade thats in the cutter for finishing cut.You should get a shot of one and give it a tryGuess its a case of wat ure more comforable with.. Its like the seaming of carpets. av used the silvaseam machine for so long the other day i had to use the iron and could hardly remember how to do it lol.
Yeh thats right. i have a silvaseam and an iron. The silva seam is great for seaming in doorways, and the iron is better for long joins as the silvaseam heats it in one go.Also the tape is more expensive. As for the vinyl cutter, someone gave me an araseur years ago, i might did it out and try it.
