Doin a 30m2 amtico floor soon an prep has started. What a mess, The builder took up 2 layers of ceramic floor which was 2 men 1 day. They left the ply down, I went there to check it out an said it has to come up, What a job my mate an his lad had. 2 layers of ply, 12mm nailed an stuck to 18mm which was nailed. They got it up an now we have a subfloor of floorboards with loads missing an shuttering ply in palces. Joiner going tomorrow to fix it all and ply it out before the kitchen goes in. The builder who had house before her has made a right mess. Poor women is paying out loads, and her hall which is di vinci planks is looking bad. I checked that and its latex screed on plywood :evil: Another job for me in the future.
Let this be a lesson to all never by a builders own house or these are the horrors you'll find, I really feal for those guys that had to strip out though it sounds painfull Daz.
I recently floored an extension to a large house and there were existing two layers of tiles and one of ply in the hallway .....55mm. The customer was getting the joiners to do a transition .....good luck.
