Alright guys, Been in the joinery industry for 10 years now and over the past 3-4 years specialising in wooden flooring and parquet flooring, including the fitting and sanding/finishing. Just come across this website while trawling the net looking for new tools/suppliers etc and thought i would see what it was all about. and there are some really usefuly tips so hopefully in the future i might be able to help you guys out and and im sure you will be able to help me out when we need it. :smile: cheers guys and sure we'll speak soon......
Hello Merit, i mostly do the flooring at the min, but i still do a lot of first and second fix joinery work. Gotta try and keep my fingers in as many pies as possible to keep the money coming in.
Yeah, the more you can do the better. Thats why Ive always installed all types of flooring. Apart from ceramics/tiles.
yeah thats the best way. but there are certainly people out there, probably on here, that can lay carpets etc better than i can so i steer clear of that... :?
Hi Steve, Welcome mate, from a joiners point of view, how do you fix your plywood to floors. Also do you have many hoildays mate?
If plywood needs fixing to subfloors ill use a basic adhesive to stop squeeks and screw it with suitable screws then fit the floor on an underlay if needed, how about you Daz?? And yeah love my holidays and stag do's. So do you so ive read on the other posts. ha
