Matt just a thought you have a great site here as I'm sure all will agree, and alot of great participents on here to.
I see in the training side all of us want to get upto the training centre for some training including me.
The thing is I see the same people wanting to get training so I'm assuming its only the regulars who are even interested in getting some sort of training and certification.
How about some van stickers for us to advertise the site for you to raise awareness for everyone, may even help raise the awareness for the public.
I for one would be more than happy to pay for a couple of stickers and place them on the van for all to see.

Yes mate, we have discussed this before. Come to the conclusion that i would be left out of pocket by the time i have had a load of stickers printed for only the regular few guys purchase them.

Most of our members seem to come through recommendation of people on here and not advertising. For instance at Harrogate last year loads of flyers went out but a members never increased any extra. Its strange.

We do have a lot of members that just come on here and read. We also have a lot of members that just come on and read one thing and then return maybe 4 months later to try and find the answer to the new issue they have. these members im really not interested in as they are just using the place without saying hello or thanks to who ever's thread it may be.

I have actually started deleting members. If people have not been on here in the last 4 months we now delete there membership. It allows me to keep a real idea of how many active members we have rather than the 5000+ members we had a few months ago!

But if you think its worth doing i will look back into it.

    Whats everyone elses thoughts?

Can you clarify what type of members you are interested in, Matt?

Just replied but it's disappeared so in short of what I wrote what about a link on all our websites and the web site on our quotes how many people would read the site name from all our quotes and web site hits

Anyone who at least says hello of thank you to someone for help with there issue. We have plenty of people sign up with a one post hit that is purely for them to advertise on here and not give anything back. Those people i get rid of after a few months as its clear they only posted to get a link to there own website.

Just want some input back of people really. Why should i pay for this place every month to have members that have no intentions of helping out others. Even if it is simply one post.

My Mods will tell you, we go through maybe 20 posts a day that we delete off people that are purely advertising.

That site I showed you before Matt, we use a "Friend of................" system, people pay a fiver a year and get a "badge" on their profile which helps to cover costs of running the site. With the amount of information being shared on here I'm sure plenty would contribute. I'd be happy to give something back after all I've picked up on here.

A contribution each year doesn't sound to much to ask for

Yep agreed you're never to old or young to learn as long as you keep an open mind.
