A few of us on here are petrol heads and also drag + track race. (hippyfitter being a biggest petrol head) So as i speak to a few of you over PM or on the phone when we are out racing etc i though i would post up a couple of vids of me. Anyway, first 3 is at TOTB. TOTB for you lot that dont follow drag racing etc is a event held once a year. Europe's quickest cars go head to head. Basically you have to run the quarter mile, top speed runs and a handling track. I was pretty outclassed as i read the rules and it said road legal with road legal tyres etc. I followed the rules but the other 120 selected cars didnt. I know for next time LOL. I finished at a overall 35th quickest in Europe that for a genuine road car that i use daily i think is not to bad. I was racing in pro street drag serious. Basically higly modified cars. I finished a overall of 2nd place. I lost by 0.002 seconds to the overall winner of the day. There was 250 cars running and i only ran twice. Im a bit peed as i never ran at full power as i set a time and nobody seemed to be getting close to so i sat back and relaxed. it scares people at night. When you change gear it blows out some big flames. Bets is when your engine breaking and its pumping out a flame about 20 feet long. I dont run it on high power on the road tho so you dont get the bangs as you pull of.
Guy i know just bought a scooby dunno know what model not much of a petrol head me,anyway it had been modified first time in one took me a spin and I sh at myself, so there is absolutley no chance your taking me for a spin LOL
Merc Sprinter 316 cdi. Mine was the very first one built (316) and went to Barabus. Had loads of stuff done to it like lowered roof, double side doors on top of the engine power being increased. Then we played a bit more with custom mapping and also had it geared down. Its actually waiting for the larger turbo i have for it to be fitted and then back on the dyno for some more mapping.
