As title says have seen this sander http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLARKE-CROS2- ... 940wt_1270 and was thinking of the chances of being able to convert it to a surface grinder with a diamond cup? Don't know if there is a conversion kit or if it would even be feasable with high torque/low torque going in opposite ways, just basically want less tools in the van and if it costs less then won a watch.

I've used a 125mm angle grinder with a diamond cup to take out a hump in a floor before - dust was terrible. You'd need a dust shroud that works effectively.
