http://www.dm-tools.co.uk/product.php/s ... DIVAR55PK1 Been after a plunge saw for a while but they're all a bit pricey. Thought I'd get a dewalt one as it cuts 11mm from the edge (ideal for trimming back floors that have expanded into the gap). Just got an email about this one, cuts 15.5mm from edge, a bit big but would be handy for board replacements. There's also a deal for one with 2 1.4m rails and clamps for £219.95 Theres also a deal on the fein kit.
the guide rail etc is almost identical to festool along with depth of cut and how far away form wall etc. Anyone would think its a Chinese copy ! Good price also.
That looks good mate, are you getting it? Ive been looking for a plunge saw but wont part with my money until I have to
woodstar aren't bad for cheapies but would rather wait and save up for the festool or mafell one only a couple of hundred more
I'd get one if it cut closer to the edge but 15.5mm is a bit far. The dewalt one cuts 11mm to the edge and mafell do the kps40 which is similar but only cuts 40mm deep. As I'm typing this I'm thinking "sod it, get one"
ive got the ksp40 excellent piece of kit i got rid of alot of tools when i got this and im glad i did small and lightweight rips through wood easily and very good guide rail cant rate it enough.got mine on ebay for 300 brand new cheaper than 400 elsewhere
