they're not the best buy one from here http://www.carpetfittersshoponline.co.uk/cutting-tools-23-c.asp get a arasure for vinyl work and GT one step for carpet they're excellent on long cuts, for shorter ones use your dolphin with hook blades. cost a bit more than what you're looking at but will pay you back in a day or 2
At the moment I cut all my carpet freehand with a straight blade, not through the pile into the skirting but by pulling the carpet back and cutting with my hand underneath, if that makes sense? I was taught to cut like this when I first started and I think I'll always cut in that way, I was just looking at that trimmer for when I'm really swamped so I can speed thing up a bit.
Does the arasure cutter take standard hooks without the big hole in, or does it only take a certain type?
makes perfect sense fitting the correct way, but if i were you i'd save up and get a good one trust me worth every penny
That's what j have and most people use , I have a friend who uses the trim master for loop piles , I was wondering if it was worth buying one or not ??
The trim master i great for felt back direct to subfloor. But on a carpet fitted on gripper it is easy to mark the skirts.
