I've been and measured a job for my self today and the job would work it cheaper for the customer if I split a 2 meter wide piece into half and also do a join on length.
Now your probably laugh but I was taught that you could only butt join flotex and I have always done this, if I was to do this the jobs going to cost alot more. Just wanted to check to see if it can be double cut And joined?

Thanks for any help you can offer

I used to fit loads of that in the 90's. I used to just overlap the joint and cut through both pieces with a straight edge.

i thought flotex was made to just join on thr width without trimming it Because the repeat is there ?

Depends on what the pattern and repeat is. like woven carpets they finish the repeat on the edge but with a salvage edge that should be removed. In most cases it means you have to jump back to the next repeat causing waste.

Its one of them, some fitters moan that they have to cut the edge and then you have fitters that will cut back to the next pattern repeat but will moan that they get waste which i agree with. Personally i think carpets , flotex, vinyl etc should have the repeat set off teh edge by say 10mm so you have to cut back to it.

Because after i helped to get the forum up and running (before it was called 'advice' blah blah) and helped to expand it i was asked to pay to be on there as i was a company "flooring Assessments" which i did not agree with as all the help i put in along with the deal of me originally being on there to sort stuff out was so i was allowed a link . (same happened to Rugrat) So i started this place. Also if your anything to do with there mod team your not allowed to use other forums. O and if you mention other forums on there you tend to get a ban also !

Thats the short of it anyway. :x
