Someone said the screwfix owner sold screwfix to b&q and then opened toolstation and under cu the prices of screwfix. Anyone heard that.
I no that b&q and screwfix was owned by the same company (kingfisher i think) but didnt no about toolstation!
I lad I spoke to got a tube grip fill from b&Q trade for £1.59. Great price that. Still don't like them though.
Funny you should say that if you have enough buying power like B&Q and Carpets**e you can dictate what weight size and quantitys you want. Heard a story that carpets**te are selling the cormar carpets although rebranded are difffernet quality weights than what cormar sell to everyone else
still sold as a Cormar tho? or re-labled as different make? If sold under Cormar name still i will defo be looking into this. Dont believe every thing you hear tho. I have a lot of respect for the above company as they are actually trying very hard to improve the quality of there service. They are getting there slowly. They are doing a lot more than any other company i know of to improve the quality and service.
Who matt Cormar or cpt wrong? I have absolutely nothing but contempt for the latter, as i heard another rumour they reducing the fitter m2 rate yet again to £2m2 (fluffy) Grinds me the stories i hear about them and their antics
No its rebranded so say for instance a customer has seen what carpet s***e say is brisbane twist, and customer asks if you can get the same carpet and you know its say town and country 60oz but they have it made in a 50oz so obvously it`s going to be cheaper. It`s only what heard the other week could be true could be crap who knows. I do work for an interior designer and their house got flooded,so they had to get their carpets through C/R (we all know they didnt have to) but anyway I cant remember the range, and C/R told them that what they had chosen was a cormar range but rebranded ,the interior designer has an account with cormar but C/R were selling the range for £1m2 less than he could buy it for
Screwfix wasbought by Kingfisher plc in 1999 and it also owns B&Q. The previous owner of Screwfix set up Toolstation in 2004. The same owner has gradually sold Toolstation to Travis Perkins who from this year own it all.
