Bespoke nosings - internal and external curves

    Can any one point me to a company that can make bespoke nosing's out of oak?

    Whereabouts are you Trimmer?

    I get mine done by a local guy. He made some for a bullnose once.

    Near Farnborough, hants. There are some big arcs on this flight of stairs. The biggest is 2.13m long (an internal one)

    This guy is in Cheshire. I templated the double bullnose and he did it in three sections with the other nosings being just straight.

    I would have thought any good joinery shop could help you with this.

    Just had a brain wave - I could use an unfinished flat bead glued to the side of the treads (colour and oil it after fitting). I'd probably have to steam it a bit to get it around some of the tighter curves.

    Khars use to do a type of solid oak beading that was flexible, I use to get from havwoods

    yep, spot on there Merit - There's a 2 option flexi 'skirting type' profile available in 2 heights from Havwoods accessories, 14mm & 59mm Oak, beech etc... 1.5m long, min. diameter 200mm
