If you're using a seam weight, keep your heat setting as low as possible, otherwise the weight can act like an iron, flattening the pile.
Currently these are not available they have been discontinued by our supplier I have asked an enginnering friend of mine to look into the cost of making them as the price was very high...Plent of seaming clamps though. Regards Rugrat
I've had mine for about 5 years , a bit expensive but it works a treat. Try this link below http://www.flooringequipmentdirect.co.u ... ductid=148
i made one from a peice of solid wood with holes drilled in it to allow the "steam" and heat to escape, rounded the edges with a router to make it easer to slide, some bits of plate steel 2 inches wide to act as weights. attached this to the bottom of box for seaming iorn and hay presto, seaming iorn box and weight combo.I have compered this for weight to the real thing and its with in grams of it. An advantage of this is you have less thing to carry, toolbox in one hand,heatseamer/weight in the other. those of you with 3 hand disregard this. if i get a chance i will post a pic of this.
