Sticking felt backed vinyl

Anyone know if its ok to use normal spray on felt backed vinyl for perimeter fix, and also fitted some felt backed today in a large kitchen and was using an uzin pressure sensitive , but it didnt seem stick to it that well, are pressure sensitives ok for felt backs

 

I was told by one of my suppliers that the manufacturers of the vinyl range they were running recommended tackifier !
I do loose lay a fair few but I find felt backed some times sits up a bit, so what do reckon on the spray ?

 

id use 44 or similar
40 should work mind you

 

I've used tackifier on felt back vinyls a few times, works ok, but vinyl MUST be cut ever so slightly short or it won't lay flat.
I hate loose laying, much more difficult to cut properly when it keeps moving about, especially on the thicker ones.
I've never tried spray, won't it penetrate the felt and stain the vinyl?

 

I try to loose lay vinyl if possible, if it needs pushing out I use anti plas double sided tape.

 

No good using d/s tape on felt backs though

 

majority of manufacturers state that areas over 8m2 must be fully adhered anyways

 

Depend on manufacturers some say 12 sqm

 

That's balls though, I never stick down domestic vinyl.
Why can't u use double sided on felt back? The material tape still holds it?

 

I try to avoid glueing vinyls down (as opposed to tackifying), too many problems when uplifting in the future. :cry:

 

It seems to be a bit of grey area with felt backs

 

So I'm reasonbly safe to use spray , i am talking about normal spray and not anti plas spray cos that's lethal !

 

When they first came out we done a few jobs with them, then got rid of everyone of the samples

 

It's much stronger than normal vinyl , less likely to tear when laying out

 

I've fitted shedloads of felt back vinyl and found normal spray adhesive to be absolutely fine. Not had a single problem using that method and it's so easy to fit too. I'd fit it all day every day if I had my way.
