Did a small job yesterday but had to go back today to finish it as I had taken the wrong doorbars! When we were settling the bill she said "Add another £25 on, it's taken you a while." I thanked her very much but it wasn't until I was driving off that the thought struck me - "Was she being kind or a little sarcastic?"
I was once writing a reciept out for a customer ( hand written bills , how long ago was that ) when she commented ' haven't you got neat hand writing for a COMMON LABOURER ' !! I was actually stuck for words so I tucked my forelock and retired out of the tradesmans entrance !! Phil
i had a similar one where the customer was starring at me out the window but not answering the front door. Eventually she came and answered door and shouted at me that this was her front door and the servants entrance is at the side of building  I also had another one where the residents complained at me as i had used the lift to get to the 5th floor. They said that tradesman are not allowed to use the lift and must use the stairs while pointing a sign on the wall .
Lol I had a few people ring the shops I fit for and say nice bloke and great job espacially for a lad with long hair! And a beard!!!!
