Been out installing today. 112mm wide solid wood flooring I was asked if i would refit a woodfloor for a company. The first wood floor failed due to poor quality plywood ! Anyway the original installer was not avalible so i was asked if would go out and help install / train one of there carpet fitters. So , i arrange for them to prepare the floor . I turn up and the plywood is down ready to go. Sorry, forgot to take pics until half way across the room. Nervous of the previously failed floor the fitter (carpet fitter) was told to put extra ring shanks in  Some pics of the adhesive the chap put down. Not bad as he is not used to using a trowel. . . As the fitter was glueing i was fitting the wood flooring straight into the wet adhesive. . . . Now the funny bit . . . someone has managed to glue themselves into a corner LOL     The Adhesive was Rewmar. Really good stuff and like it a lot. Defo recommened it. They have some really good hand wipes also to remove any adhesive. Also it is solvent FREE and does not contain WATER either. And the finished job . So time to give the chap some help with loading the empty boxes of wood into his van. WTF ????????
That's quality Matt. And what happens to a newly installed engineered oak floor when some idiot drags the sofa around to hoover behind it.....the floor being mine and the bloody idiot being my missus
That rewmar is spot on, good price and I really liked it. I just can't believe how hard it is to get hold of? Are they mad, do they not want to sell the stuff?
I can't buy it anywhere. No one delivers it. Travis wouldn't supply and the company rewmar put me on to as a distributer are useless. Called them twice for a price both times they said we will call u back and didn't bother
thats not rubbish ! All brand new door plates etc getting damaged. Look close and you will see its new gripper rods, plates, underlay etc.
just out of curiosity- why glue down and not nail down? I'm guessing its a timber subfloor as the plys pinned
Its a 14mm product and the tongue design is not suitable for nailing. It has a locking tongue. Apart from that i prefer to glue. Even if the product could of been nailed i would still of glued.
To be honest the passenger area of my van is nearly as bad as that. Must get round to cleaning it one of these years
