got a job on monday where the lounge is laminate but the kitchen will be altro the customer is in a wheelchair and i require a 3 meter transition between the too obviously an incizo is out of the question as i think it will not withstand the wheelchair constantly going over it the subfloor is concrete so dont think a stick down metal will work either is a lino edge screwed into concrete the only alternative? or anyone any thoughts or ideas many thanks lads
i never thought of that now worth a look into ill get a hold of wholesalers tommorow dont want to put something down that will not do the job hence asking on here thanks again for the suggestion
stickatac stick on lino edge? Take the lino / vinyl just under the laminate (cut laminate underlay up to the vinyl) Then stick plate to the laminate as the plate and laminate will expand together. Those plates really do stick well.
Go for quantum clip top mate. Cheaper then gradus an just as good IMO. Been using them alot the last few years. Not as much choice as gradus though. They do about 5 -6 profiles in about 8 colours.
was scared to try that matt as that was my first choice but obviously am concererned about the weight of him and his chair as hes not a small chap lol thanks guys i will look into them tommorow on both counts are they expensive? can pm me if you prefer and matt will be in touch regarding the courses i pmd you about many thanks
Have done this before using easy shims from Solent carpets there ramps from 0mm - 12mm and 1metre wide by 30cm deeps you cut them back to what ever height you need fix to subfloor little feather finish then lay flooring over bringing to coverings up to same height then if needed a self adhesive flat cover strip ideal for for wheelchairs or catering trolleys
the altro is already down thats the problem im doing the job tommorow so will see what the wholsellers have in stock
