Been looking at some sites in USA for LVT tile cutter , so much cheaper even with delivery , but does any one have a good site for working out the import duty , I have bought stuff for my evo from their but can't remember the duty cost
I went on holiday to canada and bought my 12" crain there and brought it back as hand luggage. same price in dollars as pounds here
I got some bits from the usa a few years ago. At the time I had to pay 2.5% import duty and 17.5% VAT (when the rate was 17.5%). Don't know now but found this. http://www.ukimports.org/how_to_calcula ... y_vat.html
My mate gets loads of stuff from the states and he puts his address down as Ireland. Gets away with the import duty every time. Does help that we live in northern Ireland.
On this site the Roberts 12 inch works out 180.00 delivered and the bullet rct 20 £ 380 ( which is 510 plus vat here ) Plus the import charges , i am vat registered but not sure what I can claim on the extra charges http://www.tools4flooring.com/vinyl-tile-cutters.html
