Hi Guys, Anyone ever floated 20mm oak engineered on Tuplex underlay on water underfloor heating system, im just a bit worried about the overall Tog value, would of fully bonded but customer purchased themselves. your views please Gentlemen!!
The heating manufacturer will tell you the correct tog rating for there flooring. Really it should be fully bonded for best performance. You need to speak to manufacturer mate
I wouldn't use it mate, kahrs like to spec it but never works brilliantly. I'm with Matt fully bonded don't like ufh systems anyway.
its 180mm x 20mm Ted Todd unfinished oak. going to fully bond now with Sika AT 80, having used this before on another job works great.
http://www.tedtodd.co.uk/technical/wood ... structions if still in doubt after reading this, contact them direct and get their spec for it....belt and braces with a pricey product, I certainly wouldn't be leaving it to tuplex!
Cheers Steve, I will save the Tuplex for the next Kahrs job I dont know why the spec it I prefer Duralay timbermate any when floating. but this one will be a sika system throughout.
