do you need have a dmp type underlay on concrete floors or can you put 12mm green fibreboard squares down straight on to the concrete?

am pricing a job and customer is adamant you dont need a dpm/polythene under these boards

i am not 100% sure so after advice thanks chaps

    Yes, they absorb moister.

So a dpm or more correct term would be 'vapor barrier'

dpm plastic underneath. Not much else you can do.

Really annoying when customers wont take your advice that they are CRAP

I think there's some boards with 1000 gauge dpm attached, celotec or something like that.

stuck on the back is no good. It needs to be a continues barrier unless the plastic overlaps or sticks together? if not ,all the product will do is delay the failer by a few months.
