Fitted the most expensive carpet of my floor fitting career £150 m2. To top it off there was a bow in the stripes and I had to run the stripes the opposite way to the stairs to save the customer £2k!!
A normal plain twist would have taken 2 hours but took 4 hours on this one. Interior designer said he allowed £85 for fitting!!! I did laugh and got £200 for a job that I was exceptionally happy and proud of.
Can't load pics off my iPhone but get a look at my bakebook page SNUGFIT FLOORING.

My mate fits stuff like that in the private jets at farnborough. They are only allowed to cut it with scissors and all templated. He's not even a carpet fitter, he just fits out everything on the planes! I said the same, sod fitting that.

The label was scrubbed off it. It was 4m x 5m. We used treadaire colours felt. Worked out about £10m to fit.

Just get a set rate for the night.
Lot`s of guy`s normally, to fit smallish areas.
Funny thing was, it`s all made to measure, and only 3 out 5 fitted. Had to seam the rest. lol

Will try and find out where it came from.
The lining up was a nightmare cos I had to hit the nose bang on and then the 2 doors at the top of the stairs as well. Luckily the rest of the doors didn't require a straight line at the door bars.
