Looked at a job today , lady wants carpet but has ashma , any recommendations, I know westex range has the anti dust mite protection , I would of thought man made would of been better ? ..........and before you say I suggested a hard floor !
Vorwerk, all their stuff is good for that, bit expensive but really good carpet,I've got Vorwerk Odina in my lounge, can't fault it
All carpets harbour dust and bugs etc... to one degree or another, none are really suitable but if they won't go for a hard floor keep it man made pref nylon although she made find it shocking.
Check out the following, there's a lot of truthin it, a dusty wooden floor is no help to an asthmatic. Like everything there is no 1 fix it all solutio. But we shouldn't always blame a carpet! http://woolblog.com/2012/02/17/the-thruth-about-wool-carpets-and-asthma/
Wool carpet traps dust and stops it from getting into the breathing zone. hard flooring cannot. Wool absorbs toxins and locks them away for up to 30 years. Synthetic carpets introduce volatile emissions to the home.. My asthmatic child has wool in his bedroom. Westex make great carpets and offer extra protection against dust mites... Go with them..
