Doesnt matter . Because it probably looked the dogs danglies when you finished, unlike some fitters that would throw it down, walk away and not even worry about how c?¢p it looked. All boils down to pride!
Took me a afternoon to do a bathroom today Lots to cut round. Some days it could take a day some a hour, all depends on design or which tiles / planks you use.
longest regular job was a 2 day hallway in solid oak, pain in the backside ply lined subfloor 8 doorways loads of radiator pipes etc... well undercharged for work sadly £150 to fit plus profit on ply and materials, should really have charged an extra £100 for time involved
same here mate. However the shop i do work for ( not for much longer i pray ) just dont get it. There quick to tell the customer it will be Dan coming to do your floor he's fussy and will do a good job but then does'nt give you enough time to do it!! My work is different, i measure it , i price it , i fit it and i dont walk away untill i'm 100 percent happy with the job. This is what the shop just dont get. Their website looks good but their a bunch of w?????s. It's all about the money, they have no passion nor interest in the flooring industry . Time to name Albany Carpets , Aylesbury , Buckinghamshire. family business for over 40 years , well thats how long they have been getting away with it anyway!!! Rant over , sorry been a bad week . Yes was for them!
I wonder how these shops get away with it for so long. I remember waiting 2 months to get paid by one shop, meanwhile the owner just bought a house worth nearly 1mil and couldnt pay me because he was in florida on holiday for 2 weeks. But could I just go and do a 50 m2 wood job for him next week!
"Im busy doing work that pays, I cant afford to pay my rent if I work for you". In all fairness I had been saying ok to it for the last 2 years. I would think its better to be at work than sitting at home but it was actually costing me more and as soon as I would book it in I would sometimes lose a job that would of paid straight away
Lol no it was a massive office no furniture and i left all the cuts!!! normally follow the cuts as i go along but never mind
