Finished off some safety flooring in a charity shop today.
I'd put my roller down in the middle of the floor instead of against a wall as normal.
Had to move a full roll of ecomax which I'd left where the next run was going. Tilted it and wheeldd it onto my trolley, tilted it back onto my shoulder and started koving it backwards onto the bits I'd already fitted.
Walked back into the roller, fell backwards with the full roll coming down on me.
Managed to twist a little so the weight wasn't coming down to squash me between the roller handle and the ecomax.
Got a very sore bum, wicked bruise out already and got a seroous dead leg feeling for about 4 hours from where i twisted and took the weight on my thigh. Thats going to be a lovely hruise as well.
Had my mate with me, first thing he knew of it was when he heard the crash and then saw me on the floor with the ecomax one wide and the roller the other. Me laying in the middle sayig f**k that was lucky.

Very lucky mate. You could of been off work for ages if you had hurt yourself bad.

    I know. I was a lucky sod.
I know better but was rushing.
After my mate checked i was okay he did have a laugh, carried on chuckling and making cracks the rest of the day.

A risk assessment would of help prevent this, so when you're on your arse you could say to yourself that's the risk...
