I'm dead against those sites that steal money off you from jobs or make you pay to even enquire about quoting a job!
I did a herringbone for a bloke who has a property maintenance company last week and I asked him about Checkatrade as I noticed it on his van he told me he gets nearly all his work from it.
They charge around £500 a year, payable quaterly, but you don't have to give a percentage of jobs or any other extras. Is anyone on this site on it? I doubt if you'd get as many enquiries for flooring as you would a property maintenance firm?

I reckon its gonna end up costing more than £500 mate. I know builders and tree surgeon that get alot of work from it but not sure about flooring?

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Might be alright if you can do carpet, vinyl, lvt...the lot, not so good if you just do hard floors like me.

I had someone from one of these (forgot the name lol)

It was £150 I think for 7months and I got enquiries from Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. There would be me and 2 other people for each area so I'd get a good chunk of the enquiries.

I'm thinking of doing it because 1 good job will cover the cost and everything else is a bonus.
