Any one any tips on how to keep your joints on you latex wetter for longer been screeding a 90sq meter room 2 bag mix but when came to meet up with the first mix had already started going off ending up in a few hours of feather edging the next day
Green Bag ? 300 ? what was it I laid some green bag last week, and had trouble scooping it out of the bucket
only tip is make sure you have a wet edge. So new compound meeting old compound within 60 seconds. Any longer than this and the compound will start to set.
I screeded a 100m2 room with another lad I know and we had the same problem, we were both screeding and using a roller. What he did is wait for the screed to have gone off enough to walk on then he scraped over the whole floor with the edge of his trowel getting rid of and higher bits etc. it actually worked a treat and it was a lot easier then rubbing it down when it's fully set
I screeded a floor the other day and realised I'd forgot my trowel! I ended up just spiking it all, ended up one the best floors I'd screeded!!
Although expensive, the i-tools, or similar, system is hard to beat. Comes on a trolley so easy to move about from one area to the next. You can mix 3 bags easily (4 if you're careful - or your name is Matt!) so less likely to get problems with meet ups.
yep, will take 4 bags at once. I tend to always mix up 3 at a time which is normally enough in one mix for most rooms.
