Anyone on work for or with there family ?

I do and it really ****es me off lol it doesn't really help that I can't stand my dad.

They think they don't have to abide by laws etc because your family and can do as they please and what suits them.

The worse thing is because your family you would think you'd get treated better but in actual fact you don't

Lol yeah I asked my cousin who I work with to order me some carpet last week for a private job and he rang me this morning sayin it will be £xxx and either him or my uncle has added 50% onto the end cost which for one phone call for a family member and employee is taking the **** I think

It sure is cheeky. The carpet in question is about £7+ vat but they get 20% discount so it's basically £7.

I wanted 11m2 so £77 and there charging me £115.

There getting cheque now I ain't giving them cash to stick in there pocket

My wee bro works with me. My day starts with me calling him when I wake up about an hour before I leave then ring him 5 mins from picking him up and he still takes 15 mins to come out of the house!!
Then he wants to stop for breakfast then a wee smoke.
If I stop for a sandwich he sits on the van and says he has no money do I buy him lunch.
He will sit and play on his phone most of the day and generally **** me off.
But no way can I sack him!!! He wouldn't get a job anywhere else.

Then next time he's late wait 5 min an then drive off and dock his money a day. He will soon get up. My mate who use to work for was like that. Then after I drove off an he stayed at home for the day. He learned the lesson.

My younger brother works in my dads buisness. Just the 2 of them they work 8-5 but bro doesnt turn up till 8.10-15 and it really ****es my dad off. They do car electrics an fit towbars. Nowhere else in the area really do it so its a decent little buisness. I turn up for my work at 7.45-50 start at 8 but boss and his son dont turn up till 8.10-15. Im sure theyd moan if i came in at that time. Thing is by time get started jobs can lead on 2 late day and they just say if u hav 2 work late just do it. All well and good unless u have plans(a decent casher ;-) )

I really hate being late, even just 5 minutes, just seems to put me in the wrong mindset for the day.

Me to buy I'm rarely late and only had 2/3 days of I'll over the last 7 years.

It's a double edged sword with family though, if your 10 mins late there not bothered but when you ask for a pay rise they have the same attitude and brush it under the carpet (no pun intended lol)
