Really enjoying things down this end of the country. Lots of work coming in, good ones an all and have one of the local big building firms badgering me to do work for them.
I'm keeping all the lvt's to myself and because of this am really getting my speed up and banging the jobs out whilst keeping a good standard. I start the jobs differently now looking for problems and things that can slow you down.
I've found 2 blokes (one's a forum member) who I trust to do my vinyls, carpets and woods so I can concentrate on the lvt's.
What's it like for everyone else atm?

i,m going back to fitting Steve, i started last November as asalesman/estimator. After some tought i am going back to being my own boss.
The firm is giving me 2-3 days and another chap i know is giving me a day plus my own work i,m confident things will be ok. You have to be
positive to be honest. I have had a mixed response from family and friends but if you aren't happy you have to change things.

It's very busy down here at the moment lots of lvt and so many building sites popping up asking for work to be done, but still the stupid customers around that want you to drive 20 min to job, fit room, replace bar all for £20

Seems to have picked up on the emerald isle for me too. Think I'm back to what I was doing before the big drop off in the housing market.

That sounds encouraging, would be nice if newsreaders spread the good news instead of their usual 'glass half empty' crap

Seems very busy at the moment.i have to let my nephew do some of my own stuff at the moment, just don't have the time.
Looks like the run up to Christmas has started early,I have always done the higher end of the market.people seem less affected by recession
