Just had a call from a woman who needs a new good high quality carpet fitted to bedroom dressing room and lobby area quite urgent as her mother is coming to stay, ok not a problem when are you looking for, to her reply well I go to work at 8 could you get here at 7.45 tomorrow, ok so you have the carpet already I say, no we need you to get that, but you haven't choose one yet, We will choose in the morning, but it will take at minimum 24 hours to get the carpet if it's in stock, thats no good we need it fitted tomorrow morning, had to say sorry I can't help this time, ok thanks she says we will find someone else, at 8.45 pm they ask to fit a carpet tomorrow morning that they haven't even choose yet do these people think we have every carpet in stock and should jump because there so unorganised and leave things to the last minute
Maybe I should get rid of the sofas and use rolls of carpet instead then i can stock carpet and have something to sit on and watch tv
It's your own fault because you should have already known that her Mother was visiting and ' the customer' would need a new carpet !! I bet the next fitter , with less time to organise, will be there at 8.45 in the morning, raring to go, fit the carpet of her dreams for half the cost price, because the customer is always right !!
