I noticed that an awful lot of you seem to be working weekends.

so what the f**k is that all about then?
I know we've all got mortgages /rent to pay, but when considering your mortality, which last words would you prefer:
"I wish I'd worked more weekends"
"I wish I'd spent more time with the kids"

Honestly, some people live their lives as if they have another lifetime in the bank.

Having lost very close family over the years, there's not enough money in the world to make me want to work weekends.

i worked this weekend because my son asked me to so he could earn some "pocket money". i took thursday of and only worked 1/2 day tuesday on both those days i "helped" him with his car as he has just passed his driving test. I don't go to the pub, bookies and the football over here is not worth going to. Sunday i never work except for 1 customer only and only then if I can't fit him in during the week (and he pays double, his offer not mine).
I agree children grow in the blink of an eye but weekend's are not the only day's for bonding

M4 ost Sundays im off but seem to do at least a half day Saturday, either fitting or measuring.
Yesterday was 75m2 of fibre bonded carpet to a classroom plus a couple of small bits of safety flooring (all uplift fully bonded as well).
    Got home just after 5.
    My kids are 12 & 14.
My lad plays football on a Sunday so get to most of his games.
My daughter comes along and we often have a mess about on the sidelines.
Didn't work so often when they were younger, went to the park and swimming more.

I'm working today! Parking in Kensington is a nightmare on weekdays, I would actually prefer to work in London Sunday over any other day. Had Friday and Saturday off tho so I don't feel to bad about it.

I deliberately work as much as possible to get away from the little basterds.

Not worked on a Sunday for years. Would only do it if had no choice.
Used to play golf Sundays as well but now it's family day.
Kids grow up so quick so I enjoy every Sunday with them.

You got to do what you got to do.

I look after my kids 3 days during the week while the mrs works so regularly do my own stuff on sat-sun

When all I did was domestic, I used to work every Saturday. That was for about 10 years.
Now i`m more commercial based, it`s unusual for me to work weekends (the Mrs. get`s the right arse!)
But, I did work this Saturday, and if the money is right, I happy to turn in.

I only work saturdays if the moneys right and/or I need to, id sooner not work at the weekend at all but needs must sometimes, with 3 young kids and a 4 bed house privately rented I dont always have a choice if the moneys right to be honest, if its not paying for my eldest daughter gymnastics ballet or swimming lessons its paying for my boys football or swimming and up till recently his pre school (£400 a term before his funding started) with my youngest daughter more than likely following my eldest into gymnastics and ballet its a never ending list of bills to pay

Can't stand grafting W/e. Even if the dough is alright I'll still hum an arr. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
