Carrying on from "Welsh Wood's" post about nailing through a pipe got me thinking so did a bit of browsing and came across a product called LLFA tape which looks like it'll do the job. The only thing is I'm not sure if its a permanent fix but it does say that its unaffected by UV so maybe it's designed for long term use. http://www.llfatape.com/
