Just wondering how you guys cut your strips to go inbetween lvt's. I cut mine two tiles and a strips worth long , that way all the joints in the striping fall at the corner of each tile ( basket weave ) . I just think it looks neater that way and helps keep the tiles in bond .So how do you cut yours ?

I go for a clean guillotine cut to try and hide the joints as best as poss but usually allow the joins to overlap the tile corner slightly, I find it helps me align the next tile easier.

It does look good that Dan , I used to do that all the time when the strips were free. But depends now how many strips I've ordered for the job. Doing the basket weave method you have about 30mm left over of most of the strips so you can run out.
The other way I do it is run long lengths all one way and then one tile width the opposite way.

That's how I do it Daz, does my nut in cutting a load down to a tile width. Why can't they supply half cut to exact size?

Has anyone noticed Spacia strips being different widths? Or that they could do all do with cleaning up along the edge? When I spoke to Paul Howells about the quality of them all i got back was "They're Chinese made crap"! It may only be a tiny difference in them but can cause a step or on light coloured tiles leave the slightest gap which stands out like a sore thumb. The time allowed in the new-build market to fit certainly doesn't allow for cleaning them up and dicking about. Rant over :)
