Hi was just wondering how you lads use your f46 doing a Karndean blockwood job this weekend with underfloor heating never really used it much in the past do you use a roller on it to stop grinning and do you let it go completely dry before laying into it cheers
So have I mate, I full one sitting there. Got a project floor Monday so will text it then. In fact got a camaro Friday so will try it then.
I have used it twice including today and its good especially as i have got three x 15 ltr tubs to use up.
Thats what I thought until I was told to phone balls tech and ask whats recommended over UFH for an lvt and was told f46 and f48 or direct sunlight as in conservators
Some would say that Karndean PS and F46 are remarkably alike AND Karndean HT and F48 seem to be peas in a pod too ..... could be wrong mind you
Think balls make karndeans and mapei make amticos, although both are inferior to balls and mapei own. Regarding ht addy they only work up to 27 c whereas ps go over 32 c, ht is just a get out clause
Jambo have a read here http://theflooringforum.com/showthread.php?5683-F46 I layed 80sq of van gogh in mates kitchen diner in the middle of summer in f46 has underfloor heating and about 6 metre long floor to ceiling bi folding window door and the planks havent grown or shrunk at all, I will only use ht if I'm working for a shop and they tell me to use it for me f46 every time but will be trying the mapei ps in conservatory next week
Good stuff mucka, I've always reckoned (within reason) each to their own on the adhesives. I worked away with HT for years without hassle, I've started using the universal since doing the Karndean course and can't say I've noticed any major differences apart from the increased price!
Like you say each to your own on the lvt course we did the bloke that came with dazlight only used f44 I wouldn't use f44 as always been told to use ps but its what you are used to and what works for you
