problem you have is moisture will sit down the joints and grow mold etc. Will smell after a while and look dirty.

what about adding underfloor heating that should dry moisture between planks, have been trying to put him off but it's one of those jobs I think I would like to do

Has the room been lined with hardibacker board ( or similar) on the walls and floor and sealed? If it was done that way you don't need cap and cove.

No it's 18mm ply with plasterboard walls so was thinking about no cf38 and forming planks with a 90 degree bend and epoxy to walls aswell he will tile walls and clip tiles over planks by 10mm so edge of plank is covered

that is a worry even just adults using it can still slip but karndean has a r9/10 slip rating same as most safety floors

If it hasn't been tiled yet you can still tank the room. The thing about wetrooms ( especially upstairs) is if the room isn't watertight prior to any tiling or flooring you're heading for a lot of expensive trouble. There are a few kits you can get which involve taping and sealing all joints and corners and then coating it all with a paint on membrane. If this is done properly you don't need cap and cove.

This will give you and idea http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlvQTXpc9ek

as suggested above, you need to turn it into a wet room before laying anything. Mapei do a wet room kit by the way.

As you will already turning the room into a wet room before you lay flooring, well do you really need to cove it ?

Why not tile the walls to the floor and simply fit the karndean etc straight up to the walls like a normal room? Through in a boarder while your at it !

All you got to do is -

    Tank room !
Use a true epoxy adhesive to glue the flooring down. (not a water based one that are coming on the market)

As for underfloor heating? ummm, not sure if it will help? Bacteria grows in small gaps etc and you might find the heat could actually make it worse? i dont know.

The slip rating, what is the slip rating when wet? when we say wet dont forget it will be flowing water, not drips of water brought in from outside on your shoes. I have not looked and dont fully understand slip ratings so will leave you to look into slip ratings.

Wouldn't the planks be thrown out of square by the drainage slope?

Wouldn't it be best to use polysafe wood fx or something like that. At least you can weld it.
