karndean Van Gogh cut in to 2x7 inch pieces with cross grain effect, boarder cut into 12x2 inch strips
4 hours to cut up because the guillotine I was borrowing was set up to under cut the cut so the joining side had to be under cut with knife so the backing wasn't over hanging the top and 3 hours to fit border and first half have to finish other half tomorrow
I did start cutting both sides but was quicker to munch them up quickly and trim as I went, it was there idea it's from planks left over from the rest of downstairs so it's all same colour but different designs in each room
thats funky ,bet they loved that, hope they appreciated the skill involved, also hope you charged accordingly.
Yes mates mrs loved it unfortunately it was 100% free all materials and screed glue were left overs from the rest of g floor job so was just a favor to repay the work he done at my place, I don't mind doing favours for mate that do free bees for me it's the ones that have nothing to offer back like office workers that I won't do
Looks very labour intensive mate but well done you. Just one thing, couldnt you have brought the border into the existing floor the other side of the door so you dont have to put a bar down?
That was the plan but mate had an after thought and put UFH cables down so had to put down 2 good coats of 700 down and brought the high up high enouth for decent matching bar
