Was lucky enough to go down to Manchester and see them this year, tickets go on sale today for 3 gigs, 1 in Glasgow Green and 2 in London next year, fingers crossed I get a golden ticket.

Top band, but Ian Brown can't sing live for sh1t.
His solo stuff is brilliant, though

Was also at the Heaton Park gig this year, waited 20 years to see the original line-up and they didn't disappoint! I actually thought Ian Brown held it together quite well vocally by his standards, I've seen him solo a few times and he was erm.. not so good lol. Reni is still the best drummer in the world though, definitely one off the bucket list. Now all I need is tickets to RATM, Smashing Pumpkins, The Pixies and a re-formed Smiths and, excluding Nirvana, I can say I saw all the best bands of my generation!

Seen RATM a few years back when the last toured, would also love to see the Smashing Pumkins and would`nt be surprised if The smiths got back together in the next few years.
Got a golden ticket for the roses next year :D

I first went to my first (paid for) concert in 1988 and in all that time since RATM remains the best live band I've ever seen.

I keep telling kids how crap music is compared to in the past and the fact that next years Donington festival has 2 of the same headliners that also headlined 25 years ago at that first festival I went to sort of shows that. Iron Maiden and Kiss. (cue the jokes about Kiss not being crap)

I thought Oasis were brilliant live, right up there with watching Froch win his 1st world title.....My Mrs skimmed my Roses cd last year, she nearly ended up under the patio.

Love that story years ago when Primal Scream were flying into the Uk especially to film top of the pops, but when they heard they were to due to land at Luton airport they refused point blank on the basis that Luton airport wasn't 'rock n roll' enough for them and demanded the plane land somewhere else.
