I am looking to have a 30sqm oak floor fitted to my living room. I live in Nottingham and was just wondering where to get the flooring at a good price or what to look for when buying the wood ? are there any makes I should go for or avoid ? I am looking for value for money but don't want rubbish.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

looking to pay £30 - £40 a meter for the flooring if possible

please have this installed by a fitter who knows what hes doing or you will get major problems, try looking on the find a fitter section in your area.

Try v4 wood flooring or look on the Bwfa website

£30-£40 m2 for oak is quite low and will get you a rough grade wood most likely from china look at £60 m2 + for something of any real quality

and as oddbod said get a professional to do the work correctly, it's a lot of money to throw away
