Howdy, just picked up the hygrometer HB30 (page 50 janser catologue ) from an old work colleague.
only thing is the instructions are missing, I've tried it on a recent job just to see the numbers come up. In the concrete setting it goes from 0-80. Does anybody know if this is the Rh reading?
    thanks:confused:

no good for reading concrete moisture.

thats a wood meter and a concrete 'indicator' of where to set up a hygrometer.

perfect for reading moisture in wooden subfloors tho.

But can It still give accurate readings in concrete before I set up a hygrometer?

It advice you where to set up a hygrometer as this is 'guessing' what the moisture content is. It can not tell you accurately how much moisture is there.

It may tell you a floor is dry enough to lay on but it can be very wrong. Hence you need a meter that can read in RH.

But for reading moister in wooden subfloors its spot on.
