I am primarily a floor layer, have been since age 18....long time ago....ventured into a number of unsuccessful projects, some that made nothing, some that made something, one that should have made millions. Always came back to what I am good at: putting flooring down! I specialise in Luxury Vinyl Tile and ceramic floor and wall tiling. I recently visited Matt and Sid in Solihull......very impressed and looking forward to working with them in a number of ways. Also I am currently studying for a Law degree (for when my knees finally give up!).
Hi, welcome, not been on here long myself, I generally only mess about with the fluffy stuff and domestic Vinyl,
in-f00kin-deedy Merit matey, in-f00kin-deedy... knee giving me serious grief this week,,, 22yrs rugby didn't help either!!!
I've only been doing this trade for 5 mins too... Welcome aboard to a well informed and educational forum MRPOTTER
Rupturing my Anterior cruciate ligament playing football with the kids 5 years ago doesnt help either, still not had it done. What self-employed floor layer can take 10-12 months off work? lol
Had mine done. Ruptured collateral lateral(both interior and exterior), medial cartilage, meniscus, snapped hamstring and rupture anterior ligament. Not much left to knacker up now. That's football for you, but had them done and still play but nothing serious now. 10-12 weeks and back at work. Look into having it done mate, worth it in long run. Apart from when it gets cold!
Too much of a wimp to have the op as well, Also did grade 3 tear of miniscus cartilage, and severe damage to medial ligament at the same time For the first 2/3 months knee was popping out and locking several times a day, however started to do quite a bit of cycling and the muscle build up helped. KNEED to know my limits but manageable. Surgeon says the inevitable athritis will stop the movement anyway lol
Don't they love giving us good news, sitting in their comfy offices! Hi to Mr potter. How on earth do you get time to study for a law degree I don't know. But hope its going well. I take it that its O.U?
No, local university, Tuesday and Thursday evenings and approx 20 to 30 hours a week self study, pretty much every hour i'm at home i am reading. Really interesting tho, but stressful when it comes to exams!!
20-30 hours a WEEK? jesus, ive barely 5 hours a week to myself lol Fair play mate, dedication and all that Oh and welcome to the forum, glad to have you
