does anyone use this http://www.huddlebuy.co.uk/giveaway...=129&email=&phone=&name=&v=1#phones-supported
I got an email from them the other day there's quite a few out there with the same device but the amount of Id needed and the amount you can process at one time it isn't worth it I had to provide less Id for a GPRS terminal and merchant account and I can process any amount I need and costs less than putting cheques in the bank
How little can you process with the izettle or similar and how much does the GPRS terminal cost I`m assuming thats a mobile device?
Look good but cost alot to process would your customers pay extra £27.50 for every £1000 what if its a £5000 thats £5137.50 also theres the waiting time before you actually get your mkbey from izettle, ive looked into it but cant see me ever using it
Theres also the visa problem you can only take visa payments if the customer has a smart phone wifi or 3g conection and understands and trusts what your doing
When we had the shop all transactions by credit card over £1000 a 2.5% fee was added and a few shops I know also do this, customers never complained or paid by cheque/debit card. Right next bit lol why does the customer have to have a smart phone, wifi or 3g? and how long do you have to wait to get your money?
Personally if I wanted to pay for something and someone showed their phone with a little bit of plastic sticking out saying 'yeh it's secure'....... Hmmmm lol Maybe in the future, but right now no thanks....
Just seen your link thought it would be good idea for visa but with a £500 daily limit it`s not so good
How many times you paid on a mobile terminal in a restaurant for instance though, depends what you feel comfortable with i suppose
The mobile terminals are more trusred because eceryone knows uses them but giving your card details to a young lad to put in to his phone or swiping a card reader plugged into phone is a bit to new and think it would make people warry about it
the terminal I brought outright for £349 and I pay 1.7 percent on transactions the I zettle will charge more and it doesn't accept visa for large amounts due to security.not having a pop just saying what I read on it.
its proven, its trusted etc Not saying that this is flawed etc, just a bit 'new' And in a world where online security is always getting 'hacked'.... It'll prob take off, once mobile phone security gets better/more secure etc
As I am only mobile and do not have a shop, this is the easiest method for me. As I take a lot of cash payments I only do a few card transactions each month, so the 2.75% works out cheaper than a merchant account fee where I pay each month if I use it or not. I price my jobs assuming it is being paid by card and on the quote I state "remove 2.75%/£XXXX if paying by cash/cheque/BACS. No body seems to mind this. The Visa issue is a pain in the arse, but it is being sorted, This is Visa's way of holding back iZettle until they have a similar payment taking method on the market. Square (US version of iZettle) is massive and looks like iZettle or one of the other mobile phone payment takers will get big over here. Having said all that, next year they are going to introduce smart phone payment where you register your phone with your online bank to make payments using the smartphone/pin method, so maybe iZettle is going to be a short lived thing anyway.
