Alright lads have a fairly big job coming up where half of carpet has been pulled up and left foam backing stuck to failing smoothing compound (not primed) Have checked for damp and is fine and need to hire grinder http://www.brandontoolhire.co.uk/en/surface-preparation/532-compact-floor-grinder.html to get back to original concrete, which seems fairly smooth but was worrying that the diamond will get clogged up with the foam and heat. Am thinking I might need to strip this part of the floor with floor bully first and then grind or would the grinder take all up at the same time?. Any suggestions?

The last few screeds I've lifted with a bully mate, if it well stuck you will probably need a grinder to get the last few patches.

How did you get on in the end? Did the grinder work well?
