I've never had one. Always hacked away at my pencils with my knife hauling out lumps of lead and reducing the life of each one to about one job. Now I stick it in this thing and two turns later I have a sharp pencil and it can be resharpened loads of times. Brilliant :D

A pencil is a small thin tool sometimes used for writing details that you don't want to lose on stupid small off cuts of materials just before you throw them away, but I prefer to use these pencil tools by just leaving them in my pocket nice and sharp so it makes it easier for them to stab your hand every time you get something out

Also useful for poking holes in your pockets which spread and your van keys fall through

I don't worry about that as I have a habit of leaving keys in van ignition
